Endowment

Unlike Annual Fund contributions, which are designated for current needs in the immediate fiscal year, endowment gifts build and secure the future financial stability of Little Flower Academy. While endowment gifts are often in the form of cash or securities, they may also include gifts of real estate, appreciated property, and a variety of planned giving options.

Financial Aid

In the spring of 2011, Little Flower Academy established its first named endowment to honour the accomplishments of our departing principal, Marcelle DeFreitas. Reflecting the long traditition of the Sisters of St Ann and her own personal priorities, the endowment serves our community by giving bursary resources in perpetuity. 

Campus Ministry

Another key priority that has resonated with donors is the Catholic, spiritual focus that makes an LFA education so special. So closely aligned with our mission and vision, this endowed fund gives ongoing enrichment to both the curricular and co-curricular campus ministry that every LFA student takes part in. 

Class & Memorial Endowments

Alumnae give back to the school and our students in all sorts of ways. One way to leave a legacy in recognition of all they gained by being a student at LFA themselves by giving to a class endowment. The gift they leave will continue to benefit the school and future generations of students and can grow over time, leaving permanent recognition on their community. Likewise, special memorial scholarships may be endowed for perpetual benefit of the students at Little Flower.

Establish a Named Endowment

The minimum level to establish a permanent named endowment is $25,000. Endowment gifts can be paid over a period of several years and may be earmarked for specific purposes that have meaning to you. Endowment can support the spiritual life of our school, student financial aid, faculty retention and enhancement, academic life, technology, fine arts, community outreach and diversity programs.

Gifts of all sizes build our endowment

Gifts of any size help build our existing endowment! Endowment serves the school and Catholic education for girls in perpetuity, so a gift of any size helps build the principal. Endowment benefits the school and students for the long term.
