The Alumnae Executive is super excited to host the first-ever LFA Scotch Tasting Evening. We have two amazing, local industry experts who will lead us through an introduction to the
traditional Scottish whisky and give us an appreciation for the craftsmanship, energy and patience that goes into every drop of this fragrant amber-hued spirit.
Think of it it as "scotch school" - LFA style.
To set the mood for this level of learning, we're going upstairs and fire-side, in the Library. Gone are the reference cards and Dewey decimal system (happily, we have computers now), so come and enjoy the fancy, imported drinks surrounded by our modern resources, accented with restored treasures from the "old" library. And, of course, we can't have an event at the school that doesn't include some nibbles by Chef Paul.
Tickets & Details
We'd love to see you and raise a glass at 7:00pm on Friday, May 12th. Tickets are $25 per person and the event is now
SOLD OUT. Tickets include all drinks and Chef Paul's appetizers. To ensure the intimacy of the event, tickets are limited.
**Sometimes a ticket or two become available. If you'd like us to add you to the list for a ticket that becomes available, please
email Connie.
Scotch TeachersWe've got two industry experts to help us discern this Scottish whisky thing. They're called Brand Ambassadors, and they know all the details about the scotch we will try. Dan Volway (
read his bio) represents brands like The Macallan and Highland Park and will co-present with Marcio Ramos (
read his bio), who represents brands like Glen Garioch, Bowmore, Laphroaig and Auchentoshan.
I like LFA, but I don't like scotch (or am pretty certain I don't like Scotch)
That's okay! If you have friends keen on this unique event, but it's not your cup of tea (or you'd just rather a cup of tea)... or maybe you just want to join us for the social side of the evening, a non-scotch option is available. Just let us know when you
order your tickets.
