Grandparent Day

Grandparents, or "grandfriends", are invited to spend a morning at LFA with their favourite Angel! 

Little Flower Academy is excited to host our much loved Grandparent Day on Thursday, May 29, 2025.

Typically, the day will begin at 8:45 am, and conclude around midday. Because of the number of grandparents who usually attend, we recommend arriving at 8:30 am so you can meet your granddaughter and find a seat for Mass.

The schedule for the day:
  • Little Flower Academy School Liturgy
  • Performance by our award winning Chamber Choir
  • Welcome message
  • Tea & coffee, cakes & sandwiches
  • School tour with your granddaughter

Grandparent Day is one of the biggest events we host. It's a challenge to make sure we have enough seating and food for all of our guests. As such, we ask that you kindly RSVP for the event in advance. 

You will not be permitted to attend without having RSVP'd.

A Special Message
If you are unable to attend, you're welcome to submit a special note that will be delivered to your granddaughter on Grandparent Day. Please use the space below to write your note or email (SaboC@lfabc.org), call Connie (604-738-9016, ext. 106) or mail us a card with a message for your granddaughter.

  • Q: Can we participate if our grandparents are no longer with us?

    Of course! Perhaps there is a grand-friend? An adult friend of the family who has close relationship with a student? They are most welcome!

  • Q: The full morning is probably too much for my grandparents.

    They're invited to take part in as much or as little as they'd like. Seating will be available throughout. Mass will run from 8:45 to approximately 9:45, after which there will be refreshments available.

  • Q: Will the girls have time to spend with their grandparent(s)?

    Yes. Whilst it is still a school day and classes will take place on a School Liturgy schedule, those students with a grandparent attending will be invited to join them on a tour of the school after Mass.

  • Q: What if grandparents are far away or can't make it?

    Please encourage grandparents to send a card to their granddaughters at the school! We will distribute these cards and notes (you can submit one using the webform to the left, as well). The mailing address is:

Special Needs?

Please arrive early, noting that parking immediately around the school is very limited. Handicap or special needs parking is highly limited and in very high demand on Grandparent Day. Please contact Connie at 604-738-9016 ext. 106 to see if there are any reserved handicapped spots still available. 

If you have other special needs, we will do our very best to accommodate them. Please be in touch to discuss.
