Accessibility at Little Flower Academy

Accessibility Act
The Accessible British Columbia Regulation, under the Accessible British Columbia Act, came into force on September 1, 2022. Independent schools are required to have an Accessibility Committee, and Accessibility Plan, and a tool to receive feedback on accessibility experiences. The goal of the act is to improve opportunities for people with disabilities and involve them in identifying, removing, and preventing barriers to their full participation in the life of the province.

Little Flower Academy is a member of the Catholic Independent Schools of BC and is included in the Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese (CISVA) Accessibility Committee. Little Flower Academy, along with the CISVA schools, provided feedback for the development of the plan.

Report an Accessibility Barrier or Support
Little Flower Academy has developed a form that allows members of our school community to include information on their accessibility experiences. The feedback is reviewed throughout the year, taken into consideration when updating the plan, and used to inform school-based decisions.
