Fantastic Team Effort in Season Opener

The senior soccer team had a fantastic game in their season opener against Notre Dame.  Despite only two practices without the full squad in attendance and 12 players new to the senior team, the Angels played  exceptionally well against a very strong ND team.  The Angels and Jugglers were scoreless at half, with both teams exchanging close chances to get on the scoreboard.  Amy St. and Ariana B played like a force on the back line in front of an impressive goalie debut for Charlotte.  The middle of the park was controlled by Amy Sh, Morgan tS and Jess, shutting down NDs midfield after a first half injury to Alexis, who was off to an impressive start.  Ruby came dangerously close in the second half for scoring, while also being a defensive presence on the backline.  Sadie and Madi, both new to the senior squad, played as if they had been on the team for years, and contributed to a tight defense. Kaley, Maya, Sofia, Morgan W all played exceptionally well on the flank, and Jo, Sienna, and Ola were a constant threat up front!  And lastly, Ari C had her first minutes as a goalie, rockin' the highlighter yellow in the second half! Well done, Angels!
