Angels Grab First Win at Bridgman

Coming off a tough loss ot Cowichan, the Sr. A Field Hockey Angels came out charging against St. Micheal's University School.
There is no doubt that we miss the Naomi and Nicole Shi '18 and Frances Scheepers '18. Three starting senior players are tough to overcome. That said, against SMUS, we had a number of players who elevated their games to a higher level. Of mention, Ashley Klomp '18 and Mimi Wallace '20 played their best hockey of the season. Up front, Mira Teoli '18, Lorraine Fabre '18 and Gabby Lee '19 all gave their best of the season. Allison Kuzyk '20 was simply unstoppable and probably should have 4 goals rather than the single notch she managed. That said, it was our midfield that really made the difference. Eleanor (Elmo) Morris '19 and Ava MacFarlane '20 were dominant in the middle of the pitch. For Elmo, it was a return to her form in the UK last spring as she elevates her game to an elite level. Of note, Mikayla Stelling '21 delivered her best game in maroon and white, which is a corner we've been expecting her to turn.

A simply great team effort against a quality AA opposition. This sort of hockey bodes well for the continued upward trajectory of our season. Go Angels!
