Our Senior Soccer Angels took on Collingwood on Tuesday, May 14 in a critical zone game an emerged victorious!
The Angels found themselves down 1-0 early in the game only for Alexis Bains to head home a corner kick for an equalizer. Collingwood regained the lead shortly afterwards, but Jess Bryde converted on another corner kick to bring the game back to even. Morgan ter Stege scored off yet another corner kick, putting the Angels in the lead. A deft touch off of a free kick by Maria Drazenovic set up Shannon Stelling for a 4th goal. A late push by Collingwood was held off, and the Angels were victorious with a final score of 4-3. A fantastic team performance. The Angels now face STA on Thursday, May 16th for a berth at Provincials. Go Angels!
